       The list below represents a selected number of POWHATAN COUNTY marriages. The entries have been accumulated from the survey and documentation of Powhatan County cemeteries, and other genealogical sources. The listing is viewed (default) by the Groom's last name or by utilizing the link, the Bride's last name.        When reviewing this listing for family studies, please be aware that the names were entered as found. This means that the groom/bride or court clerk or minister (or all of them) in many instances used a lot of phonetic licensing when writing or verbally stating their names.
