Ivory Ratliff Miller      

     Ivory Pearl Ratliff Miller, 85, passed away April 21, 2005, following a long illness.

     She was born on Sept. 29, 1919, at Pilgrims Knob, Va., to the late Orson Pratt and Lydia Rife Ratliff, and had resided in the Clark Valley area of Swords Creek, Va. 50 years prior to moving to Powhatan in 1997.
     She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Paul W. Miller; two daughters Anna Lee Harris of Glen Allen and Alma and her husband Gerard Campanelli of Bayport, NY.; two sons and their wives, Clifford Edsel and Alice Miller of Powhatan and Kirby Dwaine and Lois Miller of Sandston; five sisters, Agnes Hicks, Esther McClain, Mary Brannock and Lois Chesser, all of Albany, Ohio, and Adeline Magee of Bristol Virginia.; two brothers, Hallie Ratliff of Richmond and Fred Gilmer of McArthur, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three great -great -grandchildren.
     Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by one son, Paul Douglas; six sisters, Leonia Ratliff, Alice Clifton, Mable Rife, Fay Matney, Lorene Ratliff and Ruth Fayard; and two brothers, Luther and Harold Ratliff.
     The family will receive friends tonight (Friday) from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Highway, (Route 60), Powhatan and where services will be held Saturday 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Powhatan Community Cemetery.
