Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery

Ellen Morris Williams, a daughter of the late George Morris and Annie Bell Morris, was born April 27, 1908 in Powhatan County, VA.

At an early age she was converted, baptized and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she served as a member of the Willing Workers Club.

In 1931 she was joined in wedlock to Edward Williams. Her husband preceded her in death in 1963.

In her younger years she was employed as a domestic worker. Later she worked with her husband in the Piccolo business.

Ellen was a quiet loving sister who loved her family. She also loved flowers and enjoyed caring for them.

On Sunday, August 31, 1997 she departed this life at Chippenham Manor Nursing Home in Richmond, VA.

She leaves to cherish fond memories; four brothers, Carl, Elton, Ivory and Earl Morris; three sisters, Annabelle Royal, Alice Whittaker and Virginia Sadler; two brothers-in-law, Albert Royal and Milton Sadler; two sisters-in-law, Clara and Helen Morris; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A thousand times we've needed you
A thousand times we've cried
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.

In life we loved you dearly
In death we love you still
In our hearts you hold a place
No one else will ever fill.
