        Mr. Albert Elliot Royal, age 98, of Powhatan, VA., departed this life on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in Powhatan.

        He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Cousins and Barbara Carter; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

        His remains rest at marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home of Cumberland. A Graveside funeral service was held Monday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Powhatan, VA. Rev. George West, interim pastor, Rev. Dr. Revell E. Hicks, officiated.
