I do not ask that God reveal the "why" of things to me.
I do not ask that he explain, or pardon what I see.
I do not ask to see results before I can believe;
When things are mashed, a larger faith
Would ask and then receive.
But this I ask when moods are weak.
My prayers seem lost, unheard, my soul be fortified the more
To take God at his word.
When days come on with partial suns.
And shadows move with pain, my heart be lifted, heated to know
I do not trust in vain.
