William Henry Miles

William Henry Miles was born December 26, 1908 in Powhatan County, VA to the proud parents of William and Mary Page Miles, now deceased. On May 17, 1998 he went home to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at a late age. He was employed for a number of years at the Lumber Company.
He was a caring and sharing person to his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening.
He leaves to cherish his memory; a sister, Mary Miles Jones of Richmond; five brothers, Ernest, Wilson, Floyd and Linwood Miles all of Powhatan, VA and Andrew Miles of New Jersey; four aunts, Alma Hubbard, Christine Crump, Rosetta Johnson and Mary Branch; three sisters-in-law, Bessie, Hortense and Catherine Miles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
When life's day is ended and its sorrow o'er;
When summons comes to meet the blessed Savior
When we rise to dwell with Him forevermore.
Shadows! No need of shadows
When at last we lay life's burden down;
Shadows! No need of shadows;
When at last we gain the victor's crown!
