Blanche Virginia Harris

        Blanche Virginia Jordan Harris was born October 12, 1918 in Powhatan, Va. She entered eternal rest April 19, 1998.

        She joined the Little Zion Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful and devoted member.

        On January 3, 1935 she was joined in holy matrimony to Lawson Edward Harris. To this union two daughters and a son were born..

        She was employed by the Powhatan County School System for many years. Blanche was a very warm and caring person. She was a devoted wife and mother.

        She leaves to cherish her memory; her devoted husband, Mr. Lawson E. Harris; two daughters, Mrs. Faye B. Benton of McKinney, TX and Mrs. Mischelle B. Bolling of Powhatan, VA; one son, Mr. Edward L. Harris, Jr. of Richmond, VA; three sisters, Mrs. Estelle Jones of Maryland, Mrs. Marie Trent of Washington, DC and Mrs. Pattie Bradley of New Jersey; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Diana G. Harris; one devoted son-in-law, Mr. Wilbert L. Bolling; seven sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; two granddaughters, Stephanie F. Harris and Toni D. Harris; four grandsons, Kurt L. Bolling, Scott L. P. Bolling, Kevin Hobson, and Brian W. Hobson; three great-grandchildren, Jessica, Whitney and Brian; a devoted family member, Mr. William Wiley; and many other devoted nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.





She lived for those who loved her
Her heart was kind and true
For the heaven that smiled above her
And the good that she could do

Her smiling face and pleasant ways,
Are a pleasure to recall.
She had a kindly word for everyone,
And she died beloved by all.
