Diane Elizabeth Hawkins, daughter of Helen Jackson-Darden was born April 21, 1952 in Powhatan, Virginia. She was a graduate of Pocahontas High School

     Diane accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized into the Hollywood Baptist Church family. When she moved to Chesterfield County she became a member of the Richmond Christian Center where she began to diligently study the Word. Later still she became a member of Faith Landmark Ministries where she continued to study and work diligently for the Lord. In her return to Hollywood Baptist Church she founded and lead the Chosen and Set Apart for Him Youth Ministry.

     In her circular work she has always been a worker. In November 2005 she received her realtor’s license.

     On Wednesday, August 23, 2006, at Chippenham Hospital 10:45 P.M., Diane Elizabeth Hawkins went home to be with the Lord.  She leaves to mourn her loss a devoted husband Howard Hawkins; mother, Helen Jackson-Darden; step-father Douglas Darden, one son Terrance Taylor (Karen); one daughter Teairra Taylor; four grandchildren TJ, Kaitlyn, Lillian and Shiane Taylor; one sister Gail Reynolds; three brothers, James Jackson (Yong), Eric Jackson, and Rodney Jackson (Quincy); mother-in-law Isabella Hawkins, two uncles, two aunts, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, four nieces, four nephews, cousins and devoted friends, too many to mention.

When you were born, an angel smiled,
As you became a child, an angel sat on your shoulder
When you became an adult, an angel held your hand
As you grew older, an angel walked down the road with you,
And, when you died, another angel got their wings.
