        Weldon Logan, Jr. was born January 23, 1927, in Powhatan County, the son of the late Weldon and Pearl Logan. He departed this life May 29, 1990 in Jamaica, New York.

        He was converted and joined the Greenbrier Baptist Church at an early age. Upon residing in New York he became a member of Calvary Baptist in Jamaica.

        Weldon was a member of Doric Masonic Lodge. He worked for the United Postal Service for many years and was a veteran of World War II.

        He is survived by a devoted wife, Mrs. Pearl Harris Logan; one son, Christopher Logan; one step-son, Paul Harris, all of New York; one granddaughter, Iyesha; one sister, Mrs. Alice Bradley of Powhatan; one brother, Randolph Logan of Riverhead, New York; one daughter-in-law, Minnie Logan; four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

We do not lose the ones we love
They only go before
Where there is everlasting life
Where sorrow is no more.

There the soul will always live
And Peace is everywhere
We do not lose the ones we love
God takes them in his care.
