Greenbrier Baptist Church Cemetery

JAMES EDWARD HOBSON, February 17, 1916 - July 7, 1975. Born to the late Susan James and Charles Hobson in Powhatan County, VA.

He was married to Eugertha Bell on March 26, 1939, and was blessed with one daughter and four sons.

He joined the Greenbrier Baptist Church at an early age, and remained active in his church until his health declined. Whatever he could do for his church and community, it was done with a smile. He was a member of the Elk Lodge.

He is survived by a devoted wife, Eugertha B. Hobson, one daughter, Mrs. Josephine Young, four sons, Earl, Roger, Charles and Tracy Hobson; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret House and Miss Carolyn Hobson; a number of nieces and nephews; four daughters-in-law; one son-in-law; a father-in-law; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; other relatives and friends.

We thank God for allowing us to have had him as long as we did, and we will cherish his memories forever.
