Lucille P. Branch, daughter of the late Linnie W. and Rosa H. Branch, was born April 23, 1916 in Powhatan County, VA and died July 1, 1998 at Coccomo Memorial Health Care Center in Meriden, CT. She was predeceased by four sisters and three brothers.
At an early age she was converted, baptized and joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Hollywood Baptist Church. She attended public schools in Powhatan, VA. After leaving Powhatan she moved to New York City, NY and resided there most of her life. Upon moving to New Haven, CT she united with St. Matthew’s Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her health no longer allowed her to attend the church. However, her church family stayed in touch through visitations and prayers.
She leaves to cherish her memories; a daughter and son-in-law, Florine and Paul Bell; five sisters, Carrie T. Richardson of Arlington, VA, Marian Miller of New Haven, CT, Margie Keyes of Augusta, GA, Tessie Bates and Burlean Harris of Powhatan, VA; one brother, Andrew Branch of Richmond, VA; three sisters-in-law, Melva L. Branch, Elizabeth Branch Evans and Thelma Branch; three brothers-in-law, Ralph Keyes, Floyd Bates and Robert Harris; Nieces, nephews and friends.

Lord, we thank you for the
countless blessings you have given
to our departed loved one and the faith
your Holy Spirit engendered in her heart.
Fill for us the void this death leaves with good
memories for the victory now won.
Hold us in your loving arms.
Help us to continue to know the peace that
passes all understanding. This is our prayer.
